It has only been two years since our last post, so I think we're doing pretty good. In an effort to get Tisha to post on this blog more often, maybe I'll start posting my political opinions and see how long it takes her to shut me down (this is Matt by the way). So . . . immigration reform good/Arizona immigration law bad; health care reform good/single payer better; stricter government controls on investment banks and risky financial instruments good/pretend Republican efforts at reform while continuing to be more responsive to Wall Street executives than their own constituents bad; Mitt Romney too unprincipled and pandering, even for a politician; Sarah Palin crazy and not the sharpest tool in the shed; Glenn Beck either completely unhinged or a snake-oil salesman that appeals to our worst and most reactionary political instincts to make money (I vote the latter); and lastly, if you sympathize with the tea party agenda, you might take a look around you at the people you are associating with--they are often racist, always jingoistic, over-reactionary, too inclined to see things in black and white, unwilling to consider any information that doesn't comport with their preconceived worldview, and anti-democratic in that they have decided that anybody that doesn't agree with them is destroying our constitution and a traitor to our country.<br /><br />Ok, that should be enough inflammatory political opinions to get Tisha to do something about it.
